We have a contract!

We have a new four year contract in place with the Tulsa Bus Plant. The contract is a good contract building on the progress made in our last contract. The contract could have been better though if we had had the leverage we needed by having a larger percentage of Bus Plant employees as members of Local 5010. We need to encourage our coworkers to join the union. We need to explain to them the benefit of being in the union. We need limit drama, bickering and negative attitudes toward the union. We need to show a stronger face for the non-members. We need to educate them and explain how by not being members that the was a negative effect on the negotiating process.
