Charlie "Guy" Abbott, the Local 5010 Bargaining Committee Chairperson suffered a series of Heart Attacks in the morning on Friday, October 20th, 2017. He was flown by helicopter from the hospital in Claremore to the Hillcrest Heart Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he remains currently. Guy is currently progressing slowly, but still remains in critical condition. All of our hearts and prayers go out to Guy and his family and friends.
The hospital has asked that only family members visit for the time being because the response from family, friends and co-workers was so large and overwhelming.
Update: 11/06/17
Guy is doing a lot better. He is talking and seems to have regained his cognitive processes. There's a chance that Guy could even go home this week. Visitors are being encouraged to come by to help him work his mind and memory. We are all encouraged and excited about this good news for our friend and colleague. Keep the prayers and well wishes coming!
Update 11/13/17
Guy has been released from the hospital and is resting at home now. He's still recovering, but his progress is nothing short of a miracle so far.
